Between thirty to forty children from the Bindal slum as well as some of The Doon School support staff children, regularly visit the Panchayat Ghar to be taught by our boys. This term computer training as well as Yoga classes has been started for these children. Our boys also organized a picnic to the FRI for the children coming to Panchayat Ghar. It must be noted that following regular coaching by our boys, some of these studenta have done exceedingly well in their respective schools. One girl, Unniti Saklani (the daughter of a Doon School security personnel) is being sponsored by The Doon School from funds created from the ‘SAVE THE GIRL CHILD MOTORBIKE EXPEDITION’, to Diu in 2008. She has scored 82% in her 10 board examinations and we congratulate her whole heartily.
