Math Seminar on Collaborative Learning and Effective Strategies
In collaboration with the Department of Mathematics, The Doon School organized a highly engaging seminar on mathematics education. The event brought together 36 mathematics teachers from 20 schools across the town, representing ISC, CBSE, and State Board curricula.
The seminar focused on designing high-quality mathematics question papers and addressing the complexities of key mathematical concepts. Participants engaged in thorough discussions, sharing insights and best practices from their diverse experiences.
A highlight of the seminar was the collaborative creation and presentation of mind maps as innovative teaching tools for various mathematical topics. These strategies, designed by groups of teachers, aimed to simplify complex ideas and enhance students’ understanding.
The seminar proved to be an enriching experience, fostering professional growth and providing valuable strategies to elevate the teaching and learning of mathematics.
