Mountaineer and Philanthropist

Captain Ankur Bahl is a distinguished mountaineer and philanthropist. An alumnus of The Doon School, he developed his passion for mountaineering during school mid-terms and was awarded the Silver Badge of the Duke Of Edinburgh’s Award. Together with his wife Sangeeta, he runs ‘Climb for a Smile,’ an organization dedicated to raising funds for underprivileged children in India through mountaineering expeditions. Capt Bahl began mountaineering at the age of fifty and by the time he was fifty seven years he conquered the seven highest peaks of all the continents. He holds the record for being the oldest man to do so.
