Oberoi House Latest News, June 2015 from MMR
Academic
I am happy to say there are many boys are reading well and we have taken it a step further, they have started writing reviews for the House notice boards. I encourage all of them to read and I am sure that soon reading will become even more popular. This is where you parents can be a crucial role, please inspire and urge your sons to read voraciously. Academically too we’ve had a great run for both the ISC and ICSE results have been outstanding. At ICSE, Vaibhan Chandak topped the House securing 97% marks; 8 out 22 boys secured more than 95% marks; and 20 out of 22 boys secured more than 90% marks. The batch average was a whopping 93.7% and is the best in the school!
At ISC, the topper in Sciences was Sidharth Pahuja with an aggregate of 97%. The other highlights included Harshvardhan Singh and Siddharth Pahuja securing 100% marks in Mathematics and Ritesh Devnani secured 100% marks in Political Science. The ISC batch average of the House was over 90%. These results have put a tremendous pressure on the current A and SC form batch, but I am sure that they too will do us proud next year.
Sport and Co-Curricular
Anvay, Vihaan with the rest of the team made us proud in the Inter-House dance Competition. Oberoi House won ‘hands down’. The intensity of the dance was for everyone to see and enjoy. This was followed by another superb win. We won the Inter-House Popular Band Competition and thus ending the term on a high note. Such a performance given by the boys at the end of a very hectic term was indeed creditable.
In cricket, we witnessed some fantastic performances by Madhav Goel, Vihaan Bhatnagar, Sikandar Suri, Dhruva Gupta and Anuman Goel to mention some of the boys involved in the sport. The Senior P.T. squad bagged the first position and we were very pleased about that win.
