Library Committee brings writers to School
The 3rd/4th March 2013 weekend was a busy one for visiting speakers. Creative writing was the focal point of discussion for boys in C and B form. Writer Stephen Alter, whose work has included Amritsar to Lahore, All the way to Heaven, Sacred Waters, Renuka and Neglected Lives hosted a fully interactive session with boys. Stephen was born and educated in Mussorrie before moving back to the US. He has been a writer in residence at MIT.
On the same weekend, the Library Council and Film Cut Society also hosted well known journalist and Bollywood script writer Neelesh Misra. Mr Misra narrated Principal Saheb a story taken from his book Yaad Seher. He is using his radio show to encourage story telling in particular story telling in the mother tongue.
