Doon in top three at IPSC Athletics October 2014
The Doon School participated in the 52nd All India IPSC Athletics Meeting 2014 held at PPS, Nabha from the 28th to 30th October 2014. The level of competition was very high at the IPSC Athletics Competition. The school team delivered an excellent performance, gathering a total of forty eight points to come third out of twenty one schools in the boys’ category.
The performance of the boys was as follows:
- Siddharth Sarin from Tata House
- Won a Silver medal in Shot Put (contributed 5 points in team total)
- Won a Bronze medal in Discus throw (Contributed 4 points in team total)
- Rishavraj Das from Hyderabad House
- Won Bronze in 400 metres hurdles (contributed 4 points in team total)
- Won Bronze in 400 metres (contributed 4 points in team total)
- Stood 4th in 200 metres (contributed 3 points in team total)
- Raj Kumar Vijay from Hyderabad House
- Bronze medal in 200 metres (contributed 4 points in team total)
- Bronze medal in 100 metres (contributed 4 points in team total)
- Karkitay Garg
- Stood 4th in Javelin throw (contributed 3 points in team total)
- Varun Narain Sinha from Hyderabad House
- Silver in 400 metres (contributed 5 points in team total)
- The school relay team won gold medal in 4 x 100 meters relay. The team comprised of the following members who contributed 12 points in team total:
