Public Speaking(Hindi)
Hindi public speaking is a new but relevant activity that has been introduced into the STA programme. It helps one to think on one’s feet, express, communicate and interact on various platforms, and is also an important feature for a deep-rooted and open society to nurture democratic and free values. Twenty- eight senior and junior boys hone their speaking skills over the year by delivering speeches at the morning assembly every Saturday for five minutes on various personal, school-related, social, national and international issues as part of this STA. The Tshivenda Mehta Award was introduced in 2008 for the best speaker.
This STA helps in building the boys’ confidence levels and developing their oral skills. It also helps those enrolled under the I.B. during their oral assessment. Boys who are proficient public speakers can envision a future as television anchors and newscasters, public personalities and even politicians!
