Ms Purnima Dutta led the “Away is Nowhere” module, focusing on global interconnectedness and sustainability. Students explored relationships between diverse populations and the contributions of underrepresented groups. They learned to consider diverse perspectives and function effectively in a multicultural society. The module emphasized the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals, highlighting responsible consumption and the 3Rs (reduce, reuse, recycle). Participants gained a deep understanding of global interdependence, interpreted issues from multiple perspectives, and articulated global viewpoints. The experience was transformative, fostering informed, sensitive, and responsible global citizens.
