Alpha 2023, a highly anticipated scientific event, left everyone in awe with its remarkable display of scientific aptitude and innovation! This year’s theme revolved around fostering sustainability and space exploration, igniting the participants’ passion for a future beyond our planet. The competition featured three challenging stages that pushed the boundaries of scientific knowledge and creativity.
Stage 0 : “Cluehunt” – 12 Schools from across India embarked on a thrilling quest to find a habitable planet and combat a deadly virus, demonstrating exceptional problem-solving and teamwork.
Stage 1 : “Building Construction” – The students put their engineering skills to the test, requiring participants to construct sturdy shelters with limited resources in harsh extraterrestrial conditions, showcasing adaptability and resilience.
Stage 2 : “Physics Fights” – The students showcased the participants’ scientific expertise and debate skills as they presented research findings and critically analyzed others’ reports. The Doon School emerged as the winner.
Alpha 2023 ended with Welham Girls’ School emerging runners up, and Mayo College, Ajmer winning the competition. The event highlighted the significance of sustainable practices in scientific endeavours and the need for creative problem-solving to ensure progress. The event’s success rested on the passion and commitment of the students, teachers, and organisers who worked tirelessly to make it an unforgettable experience.
